When you are purchasing cosmetics (anything that is made to go on to the skin) it is important to know that the retailer has all of their relevant assessments in place. Bath and body products are unlike wax – where wax melts require a CLP cosmetic items require an assessment and CPSR labelling. 

Never be afraid to ask for the assessments to ensure you are happy you are buying from a reputable place. Whilst they may not want to share their entire assessment (some places can’t due to it being a Flexi assessment) they can show you the first page to prove they have it.

With this in mind we have decided to share with you so you don’t even need to worry about asking. When you are ensuring the company can sell the products they are advertising, you want to make sure you review the name of the assessment and the name of the responsible person (this could be a brand name or the individual person – in this instance the responsible person is Joe Martin rather than the brand name, in case we change brand name at any point)).
